Health care exec nabs controversial Crown Heights site for $42.4M

A controversial development site near the Brooklyn Botanic Garden in Crown Heights has sold for about $42.4 million.

Daryl Hagler purchased 124-130 Montgomery St., also addressed as 960 Franklin Ave., through an LLC linked to Centers Health Care, according to property records. He bought the former Spice Factory site from Zev Golombeck, whose firm, HPG Associates, has owned the property since at least the early 1980s, records show.
