The Domain Cos. has purchased a $26.5 million warehouse property in Gowanus on the cusp of an expected rezoning that could boost density and open up areas to residential and mixed-use development.
“For years there was talk that Gowanus would be rezoned,” Marks said. “But pricing has picked up as buyers have become more confident the rezoning is more imminent now. The expectation is that it’s going to happen next year.”
